"This is the place that those in the know go. The chef here is amazing, his reputation is very impressive. Once you've tried the food you will most certainly be back."

Meet the owners
Tim and Lauren have been married for 22 years and chose to settle in the Macedon Ranges back in 2010 to raise their 4 children in the beautiful and quiet surrounds.
Tim has been cooking professionally for over 20 years. After moving from Bendigo to Melbourne in 1998 he started his apprenticeship cooking in an Italian restaurant in Toorak.
He then moved to O’Connells Hotel in South Melbourne where he worked under Greg Malouf and Harry Hajisava.
Tim finished his apprenticeship at Sails on the Bay in Elwood where he worked for 6 years. Tim’s career continued at The Provincial Hotel in Fitzroy, The Exchange Hotel in Port Melbourne and The Station Hotel in Footscray where he managed the kitchens as Head Chef/Executive Chef.
During Tim’s time at the Exchange Hotel the chicken Parma was rated as one of Melbournes best! For the past 4 years Tim has been working in food procurement for the Australian Venue Co but is now ready and excited to start a new adventure in his very own pub back in regional Victoria.

Laurens background is in medical laboratory science after completing a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Bendigo but has now dedicated her time to support Tim at The Albion. She has a passion for landscape photography, and you will find some of her work adorning the walls inside the restaurant as well as the bar.
Laurens' gallery is now open for viewing and is located at the rear of the hotel.
Both Tim and Lauren look forward to welcoming you soon.

Absolute gem of a pub!
"This is a perfect example of a pub menu beautifully executed. I'm a Coeliac and the GF and GFO options were pretty much the whole menu and the staff were knowledgeable.
The pub looks and feels comfortable, clean and well maintained. Dog friendly outside area with a pool table is a bonus!
Definitely worth the trip to Kyneton, particularly if you are Coeliac wanting a lot of choice of great pub food."

High expectations - was not disappointed!
I dined at the Albion on a weekend away in Kyneton, with high expectations given the new owner/chef Tim's experience. I wasn't disappointed!
I had a cheeky parma, and I will say the napoli sauce was the hero - rich and delicious - you could tell it was crafted with care to elevate it beyond a standard pub level. And a yummy dessert to finish.
